Inside the Build: Our landmark project with Arsenal F.C.

We’re proud to unveil a landmark project completed for Arsenal F.C. earlier this year. 

We helped transform their PPC gym free-weights area after significant damage to the sub-floor around their existing racks and platforms. Our goal was to deliver a seamless performance flooring solution with custom-branded platforms and drop zones, reflecting the club’s elite standards.

The project began with our team carefully removing the existing tiles and relocating equipment to expose the damaged concrete. We then extracted approximately 60 tonnes of concrete, rebar, and sub-layers, cutting into the slab and using industrial extractors to minimise dust throughout the facility.

After installing a new damp-proof membrane, we rebuilt the sub-floor, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure all trunking, conduits, cables, and air lines were buried seamlessly - creating a clean, clutter-free training environment.

With the sub-floor prepared, we installed a high-performance screed tested to achieve up to five times the compressive strength of the original. We tailored the flooring in the drop zones to mitigate repetitive barbell impact and reduce noise transfer.

Finally, we completed the space with a seamless Fusion floor, custom platforms, and drop zones for a premium finish. In the innovation area, we integrated force platforms, floor sockets, and hidden cables, allowing for effortless testing and training without compromising functionality or aesthetics.

After completing the flooring upgrade in their PPC gym, our focus turned to the First Team Gym, breathing new life into the space ahead of the season.

• Custom-branded turf: We replaced the old green turf with two sleek, custom-branded strips, complete with a shock pad underneath for a subtle plyometric feel underfoot.
• Optimised storage: By introducing custom storage solutions, we decluttered the gym, creating a clean, organised space for the team.
• Brand-aligned updates: From reupholstering existing equipment to adding new red hybrid barbells, the space now seamlessly aligns with Arsenal's iconic branding.
